Cagnotte is a charming village midway between the Landes plains and the first foothills of the Pyrenees, known as a stop for Santiago de Compostela pilgrims. The village is rich in history, especially in religion because it was considered as the spiritual capital of the Pays d'Orthe. Today, there are still remarkable relics at the Abbey of Notre Dame de Corheta (or Caignotta) from the 11th century on the site of the current church.
